What To Do If You Have Tens of Unfinished Projects and Hundreds of Ideas
I currently have 599 drafts on Medium. It looks like I will never run out of ideas for my writing. I have more drafts than I can ever finish.
The problem I have is that I often go through intense periods of inspiration whereby I create tens, even hundreds of ideas. Yet, I have difficulties in following up on my ideas and bringing them to fruition. This results in hundreds of unfinished ideas and projects (such as my 599 drafts on Medium). This is a big problem since these unfinished ideas tend to become a burden after a while.
On the one hand, I feel fortunate that I have a lot of ideas in the pipeline. I will never run out of ideas, which is a luxury. On the other hand, I feel guilty that I have so many unfinished drafts and projects on my plate. My Medium drafts folder looks like a black hole — ready to devour all my efforts and time. I feel powerless when I realize that I have already forgotten the majority of my drafts.
I have tens of other unfinished projects. Article drafts, doodle pages, lists of ideas, and much more. I need to focus and prioritize tasks, but I already feel overwhelmed and I do not know where to begin. Yet, I am inspired by so…
