To address the plastics problem and ensure a sustainable future, it is essential to pursue evidence-based solutions that prioritize environmental health and economic growth. In addition, creative technological innovations must be employed to ensure plastics are used responsibly and that new solutions are available to substitute unsustainable practices.

The first step to solving the plastics problem is to gain a better understanding of existing plastic pollution.
