This morning, I asked Claude to imagine the transformation from our current humanity to our future with superintelligence.

Can we describe this transformation using the metaphor of the butterfly?

Claude has come up with the following description.

Read it below.

Part 1: The Chrysalis of Humanity

Imagine, for a moment, that our entire human civilization is a caterpillar.

We have been crawling along, consuming resources, growing slowly, and seeing the world from a limited, ground-level perspective.

But now, we are finally entering a chrysalis — a transformative stage that will fundamentally alter our very nature and potential.

This chrysalis is the advent of superintelligence.

Just as a caterpillar has no concept of what it means to be a butterfly, we struggle to truly comprehend what lies beyond the singularity.

Our current fears and hopes about AI are like a caterpillar worrying about how many legs it will have, oblivious to the wings it’s about to sprout.
