In the field of education, I see massive disruption on the horizon.

Our current educational systems are not just outdated — they’re actively holding back human potential. It’s time for a radical rethink.

In this article, I will try to do this. I will introduce Education 3.0, and how education will transform in the future.

Education 3.0 refers to a paradigm shift in educational philosophy and practice that leverages emerging technologies, personalized learning approaches, and a global, interconnected perspective.

The term “3.0” is used to denote a significant evolution from previous educational models, much like how Web 3.0 represents a new phase of internet development.

Here’s a breakdown of the evolution:

Education 1.0: Traditional, teacher-centered model
- One-size-fits-all approach
- Passive learning
- Focused on memorization and standardized testing

Education 2.0: Introduction of technology and student-centered learning
- Incorporation of computers and internet in classrooms
- More interactive and collaborative learning
- Beginnings of personalized approaches
