Write your 15-year old self a letter, and write another for 60, and write a third to the future
An amazing reflective and creative writing exercise you can do in half an hour

In this post, I will provide you 3 reflective and creative writing exercises that you can easily do in 10 minutes.
In total, they will take about half an hour.
However, the benefits of these exercises will be immense.
Writing a letter to yourself gives you enormous insights and wisdom.
It helps you to open up, better know yourself, and process your awareness and emotions.
And you will love what you have created.
Moreover, there is a surprise for you at the end (in the 3rd exercise) as well!
Are you ready?
Let’s start.
Letter 1: Write a letter to your 15-year-old self
In the first exercise, you will write your younger self a candid letter.
Imagine that you are now writing a letter to yourself at 15 years old.
What would you like to tell yourself?
First you need to remember and visualise yourself at 15.
Which year was that? Where were you in your life?
What have you done wrong? What are your regrets, if any?
Looking back, what advice, suggestions, and words of wisdom would you like to provide your younger self?
Please write it — it should take less than 10 minutes to do this.
But it is a very rewarding experience.

Letter 2: Write a letter to your 60-year-old self
In the second exercise, you will write your older self a letter.
Imagine that you are now writing a letter to yourself at 60 years old.
Which year will that be for you?
Where do you imagine yourself at 60?
How will your life look like?
What would you like to tell yourself from today?
Looking forward, what are your emotions?
Do you have any anxieties about the future?
What are you excited about? What does your future life look like?
Do you have any advice? You can also include life and career goals.
Please write it — it should take about 10 minutes to do this.
Think of it as a time capsule where you will move to the future.

Letter 3: Write a letter to your future self (1–3–5 year options)
In the final exercise, you will write a letter to yourself in the future.
Think of this exercise as a time travel.
It is your message in a bottle, which will be delivered to you from 1, 3 or 5 years from now.
Please go to FutureMe.org (futureme.org) for this exercise.
This web site allows you to send your inbox a future letter from yourself.
Please go to the web site now:
You will see a screen like this, where you can immediately type up your letter:

Please choose your time frame.
Would you prefer this letter delivered to you in 1, 3 or 5 years?
Imagine that you are now writing a letter to yourself 1, 3 or 5 years from now (whichever you have chosen).
What would you like to write about?
This can be your diary from 4th of April 2020.
You can reflect on your anxieties and reflections about Covid-19 and the coronavirus lockdown.
You can give morale or support to yourself.
You can reflect on where your future will be and how you will overcome these days.
You can explain your emotions.
It is up to you.
Please write it — it should take about 10 minutes to do this.
This will be a very nice surprise gift for you -as you will probably forget about this letter next year (or later on).
These exercises are enormously valuable, because they will give you a perspective about the bigger picture of your life.
You will provide yourself a great gift of memory.
You will reflect on what is really significant for you.
And you will take those lessons of wisdom to your daily life.
I hope you do enjoy the process and the results!
Sincerely;
Fahri
